BJA’s educational programs bring the jazz tradition to new audiences and future musicians in area schools and communities, and they are currently working on bringing live jazz to several area parks this coming summer. In 2016, BJA presented the first Baltimore Jazz Fest as a part of Free Fall Baltimore and are hard at work preparing to make the Fest an ongoing Baltimore tradition. For this year’s Light City, BJA will provide several musical groups to entertain and inform families at the Kaufman Pavilion, and will continue to reach out to let people know how to take part in Baltimore’s vibrant and varied jazz scene.
